Overview of International Airports in Vietnam
At present, Vietnam have 23 airports in operations, in which 10 are international airports and 14 are local airports, of which there are 4 Major International Airports (MGW), they are:
- Noi Bai International Airport (IATA: HAN) – in the North of Vietnam
- Da Nang International Airport (IATA: DAD) – in the Central of Vietnam
- Cam Ranh International Airport (IATA: CRX) – In the South Central Coast of Vietnam
- Tan Son Nhat International Airport (IATA: SGN) – In the South of Vietnam
Besides, Long Thanh International Airport is currently under construction in Long Thanh, Dong Nai. Located approximately 40 km (25 mi) east of Ho Chi Minh City. The construction was stated on 05 Jan 2021 and it is scheduled to be open by end of 2025. It is designed to serve over 100 million passengers annually and 5 million tons of cargo per year and is expected to be an Interntaional hub between Vietnam and the world

The air transportation of Vietnam now is developed under decision No. 236/QĐ-TTg dated 23/02/2018 by Prime Minister for Development of Air Transport by 2020 and the Orientation towards 2030
