- Pursuant to Article 1 of Circular 26/2016/TT-BNNPTNT dated June 30, 2016 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development stipulating
- Pursuant to Article 14 of Decree 15/2018/ND-CP dated February 2, 2018 of the Government
Conclude: In case frozen seafood (unprocessed) imported to Vietnam will be registered for quarantine and have satisfactory results. In the case of processed aquatic products (heat, dried, smoked, chemical, salted, brine, fermented, etc.), when imported to Vietnam, they will need to meet: – Safety inspection food. – Production and business establishments recognized by competent Vietnamese authorities to fully meet the requirements on ensuring food safety according to Vietnam’s regulations- Having a certificate of satisfaction of food safety regulations issued by a competent authority of the exporting country (except for cases where aquatic products are caught and processed by foreign fishing vessels and sold directly to customers). DOCUMENTS, CONTENT OF INSPECTION DECLARATION
As stipulated in Article 4 (Circular 26/2016/TT-BNNPTNT), the inspection registration and declaration dossier includes:
- Dossier for registering inspection of transportation of aquatic animals for breeding purposes exiting the provincial territory; aquatic animals for commercial purposes, aquatic animal products originating from disease-declared areas exiting the provincial territory: Inspection registration certificate according to Form 01 TS Appendix V issued alongside this Circular.
- Dossier for registering import inspection of aquatic animals, domestic consumption aquatic animal products;
a) Written request for inspection guidance according to Form 02 TS Appendix V issued alongside this Circular;
b) Certified copy of the export inspection certificate model from the authorized agency of the exporting country, confirmed by the enterprise (for animals, aquatic animal products originating from countries or territories without an agreed inspection certificate model with Vietnam);
c) Certified copy of the CITES permit, confirmed by the enterprise for animals, aquatic animal products listed in the Catalog of endangered, precious, and rare wildlife species as prescribed by Vietnamese law or the provisions of the CITES Convention);
d) Certified copy of the aquatic product import permit issued by the Directorate of Fisheries, confirmed by the enterprise for aquatic animals intended for breeding that are not listed in the Catalog of permitted aquatic breeding species, issued alongside Decision No. 57/2008/QD-BNN dated May 2, 2008, of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development; aquatic animals intended for consumption that are not listed in the Catalog of permitted imported aquatic species for consumption, issued alongside Circular No. 04/2015/TT-BNNPTNT dated February 12, 2015, of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development).
