What license does Seafood commodity need to export?
1. Quarantine certificate
According to Circular No. 26/2016/TT-BNNPTNT regulating quarantine of aquatic animals and animal products. Clause 2, Article 1 of the Circular stipulates that this Circular applies to agencies, organizations and individuals involved in the export of aquatic animals and animal products.
⇒ Therefore, when exporting seafood, the exporter needs to register for quarantine for each shipment.
Quarantine of aquatic products for export is divided into 2 types:
– Quarantine of animals and aquatic animal products exported that are not used as food.
– Quarantine of animals and aquatic animal products exported for use as food
2. Seafood export license issued by the Directorate of Fisheries, with confirmation from the enterprise (applicable to aquatic species subject to conditional export as prescribed in Appendix IX and Appendix Decree No. 26/2019/ND-CP dated March 8, 2019 of the Government detailing a number of articles and measures to implement the Fisheries Law)
